LOTS OF LOVE AND DOGS
At The Dogroom Haslemere Dog Salon, we understand that grooming is an important part of your dog's overall health and wellbeing. That's why we provide a range of grooming services to keep your furry friend looking and feeling their best. Our team of professional groomers are dedicated to providing a calm environment for your dog and will work with you to create a personalized grooming plan that meets their individual needs. Contact us today to schedule an appointment and give your dog the care that they deserve!

A Full Groom begins with a thorough bath using high-quality shampoos selected to suit your dog’s coat and skin type. This is followed by a careful blow dry to ensure the coat is clean, fresh, and ready for grooming.
We gently tidy the hygiene area to keep your dog clean and comfortable between grooms. Paw pads are clipped for safety and cleanliness, nails are checked and tidied where needed, and ears are carefully cleaned to support good ear health.
Short-coated dogs have dead fur carefully hand stripped away to reduce shedding and improve coat condition.
Double-coated breeds receive a professional de-shed to remove excess undercoat while protecting the natural topcoat.
Curly, long, or thicker coats are expertly clipped and shaped to revive the coat and leave your dog looking neat, balanced, and well cared for. Each groom is tailored to suit your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
Every groom is finished with a light application of dog-friendly cologne, leaving your dog smelling fresh and feeling their best as they head home.
A Full Groom usually takes around one and a half hours, depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, and temperament.
Please note that any matting will require extra time and may incur additional fees, as it must be handled gently and safely to protect your dog’s comfort and wellbeing.
Our Full Groom reflects the level of care we believe every dog deserves. Each groom is carried out with patience, kindness, and attention to detail, allowing your dog to feel calm, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit.
We treat every dog as if they were our own, taking time to understand their personality, coat, and comfort needs. Nothing is rushed, and every step of the groom is designed to ensure a positive experience, leaving your furry friend relaxed, happy, and looking their very best.
This is not just grooming. It’s thoughtful, professional care for dogs we truly love.

We love welcoming our senior dogs into the salon and always take extra special care to meet their individual needs. Older dogs often benefit from a slower, gentler grooming experience, and we are happy to allow extra time for each groom so they never feel rushed or stressed.
This may include frequent breaks, extra time lying down or sitting comfortably, and careful handling to support joints, mobility, and confidence.
We understand how important trust is when it comes to older pets, and we treat every senior dog with the same love, respect, and attention we would give our own.

Matting occurs when a dog’s coat becomes tangled and tightly knotted. This is especially common in long-haired, curly, double-coated, or wool-type breeds. Mats often form gradually and can develop close to the skin, sometimes where they are difficult to see.
Matted coats are not just a cosmetic issue. They can be uncomfortable and, in some cases, painful for dogs. Mats pull on the skin, restrict movement, trap moisture and dirt, and may hide irritation, sores, or infections underneath.
Heavily matted dogs will need extra time and incur fees.

Wiry coated dogs will require a hand strip, a specialized technique that plucks the dead undercoat with a carding knife, wearing rubber gloves by hand or a pumice stone.
This promotes healthy regrowth and ensures that your dogs' coat is in tip top condition.
Usually an hour and a half to two and half hours depending on size and season.

Carding is a specialised grooming technique used for spaniel coats to gently remove dead undercoat and excess fluff while keeping the natural length and silky appearance of the top coat. This helps reduce shedding, prevents matting, allows air to reach the skin, and keeps the coat lying flat and healthy without clipping. Regular carding maintains the traditional spaniel look, improves coat condition, and keeps your dog comfortable and smart between full grooms.
Usually an hour and a half to two hours depending on size and season.
